Why is it that the one book I need is the one that apparently can be neither bought nor borrowed?

While lovely, it wouldn't be worth its trouble -- I've found a couple of other sources for similar information (Mark Twain wrote a travelogue in 1880 about the area as well, and there's a silly book by Charles Wood called In the Black Forest that was written in 1882 -- between Twain's snarkiness and Wood's mellifluous sighs, I'm getting a decent enough picture). At any rate, it's only for a novella/novelette, and I'm just fretting about the weather conditions.
