Thank you! I'm actually doing surprisingly well -- I mean, for major abdominal surgery and all. The wound is healing, I'm not too sore, and the sleep deprivation is not too horrible (though I think that one's because Beth is a hero, and that's why I'm not feeling it -- she's just been amazing).
Congratulations! Claire and Juliana are the names of two of my favorite people, and they go beautifully together! Also, that is some awesome stripey action she is rocking there with her onesie.
Thank you! And dude, it is all about the stripes. She was wearing another onesie of the same design in orange the other day, and she looked like a tiny pirate. (As a note: I did not in any way swing her little fist around while singing "yo ho ho." Because that would be... not right. And also, wrong.)
Thank you! And yes, wee baby will probably be making her first public appearance at Readercon (depending on how she's doing, etc.). We'll be crashing the hallways rather than actually attending -- hopefully that will cut down on the possibility of con crud.
Thank you -- and yes, we're doing surprisingly well, all things considered. I'm experiencing better living through chemicals, and Beth is being a superhero when it comes to making sure I'm not overdoing it (and I'm trying to do the same for her). lexelby is also helping tremendously, and Beth's parents are coming to the rescue as well. I think it's all contributing to a much more awesome and restful experience than new parents often get.
