next thing you know, we're surrounded by sparkly vampires

Since Claire's birth, we haven't had a single sunny day. Not. A. One.

Either this means that she presages the coming of the apocalypse, or she herself will become a dark lord of some kind.

Or we have somehow moved to Forks, Washington, and must be careful that she doesn't meet with any tall, pale, oddly obsessive boys out for her blood love.

Awwww!

One of my coworkers just came back from a trip to Portland and Seattle. Where it is sunny and in the mid-80s. Clearly, they stole our weather :-)

I always figured the coming of the apocalypse would be more fiery than drizzly. Though we're getting some thunder now, which I guess is a step in the right direction.

Also, cutest dark lord ever. Maybe that's how she'll take over the world.

And there hasn't been sun yet because she's sleepy and adorable. And is resting so she can defeat all sparkly vampires ever.

Babies are aliens with wonderous abilities we can but guess at. Sadly, we seem to lose these abilities as we get older. Also, we forget the ur-language that babies speak.

Yes, we have had wonderfully sunny weather this month. July and August seem to have taken over June; no rainy weather through the 4th of July.
